Event Description

Upload your video, it’s easy! Corruption affects us all

It is important to tell the people in power what really matters when it comes to fighting corruption. And this is why we have developed this space for you:

We want your voice to be heard when decision-makers take the stage at the IACC plenary panels and discuss corruption challenges at this forum for fighting corruption. For the first time ever, this will happen at this IACC, in November in Bangkok.

And we want decision-makers to comment on your questions.
So, here’s how it goes:

1. Have a think about your take on corruption. What are your concerns? If you had the ear to some of the most inspirational leaders on the planet, what would you say to them?

2. Use your phone, camera or webcam to capture your thoughts and share them with us. Make a short film (no more than 20 seconds!). Ask a question or give a recommendation to our leaders. Your comments should be related any of the five carefully selected Global Challenges of the IACC.

Don’t forget, the Global Challenges are:

1. Corruption, peace and security
2. Fuelling transparency and accountability in the natural resources and energy Markets
3. Climate governance: Ensuring a collective commitment
4. Strengthening global action for an accountable corporate world
5. And last but not least, the conference theme:
Restoring trust: Global action for transparency

Your video can be in English, French, Spanish or Thai – we will provide a translation if necessary

3. Click on the blue “I’m ready, upload my video” tab, input your details and upload your contribution through a popular format. You can upload .mov, .avi, .wmv, .mpg and .mpeg files. The maximum video file size 6mb.

4. Have a look at other video contributions, and vote on them. Just scroll through the videos on this page and give your thumbs up to the videos you like best. Tell all your friends about the fight against corruption and invite them to vote for your video message.

It’s best you participate now; but you can upload videos until 1 November. The sooner your video is live, the more votes you are likely to get! We’ll be sharing the results with you via Twitter, Facebook and the 14th IACC blog.

What happens next?

Once the file is uploaded we will take a few hours to compress the format and then show it on this space. Please bear with us and come back to the site in a few hours to see your video. Be patient, it may take some time but we’ll do our best to upload the your video in a jiffy!

Is there a prize?

Yes! The most popular video contributions (those with the most thumbs up) will be reviewed by our editorial committee. One short film will be chosen per IACC Global Challenge and screened to kick-start the high level plenary discussions at the 14th IACC. The most popular videos will speak to our leaders – this is your prize.

The winners will become the first ever IACC Young Ambassadors.

“Youth Challenge”, is there an age limit?

Anyone under 36 years old is welcome to participate.

I heard a rumour that there are more prizes, is this true?

For now this is indeed a rumour, but keep an eye on this space and we hope to have some good news soon!
