A good question asked in the plenary, as well as in the workshops I attended, is: how much money or support are governments and developing agencies allocating to support CSO's? This question is always applauded by IACC participants. There has been much talk on the important role of citizens and citizen organizations in ensuring accountable, transparent and participatory governance. Corollarily, the same question can be asked on investment on young people. I remember that the world development report of 2007 called for greater investment on young people, does anyone know if this has materialized?

Ogaga E. Maxwell said:
I do honsetly think in my opinion that corruption can be stopped if young people take the necessary steps to combat it. The solutions suggested should be simple, practical and pragmatic. Great GYACers, the photos are cute

I'm actually proud of you gaysin Bangkok for the great work you aredoing in there. You have not left usbehing as I see myself in there mentally.

Pauline, I wonder that the discussion you had started here concerning the MDGs in early hours of the conference is no whereto be found. Have you ommitted it?

Again I was informed of the opening speech by the managing Director of the WB, Sri Mulyani Indrawati. I loved the sentence from her that Corruption was not invented by the poor. I have tried to go round it and found that poor people are always the victims of the phenomenal. Yes, the fact that poor people may engage on the so called petty corruption which bares no effect to the minority rich in developing countries, gand corruption is by large rich people.

I have never found a case of poor in grand corruption. The poor will suffer as justice finds no place in the society, quality services such as education and healthy remain history in that particular society etc.All these are shouldered by poor majority emanating from rich minority.

People, in Bangkok, the heads of states and the deligates in there should re-emphasize on reducing the gap between the rich and the poor as the other way of reducing Corruption

Thanks to every GYACers for the great things we are doing in our different region and corner. Those GYACers at the IACC are doing well i trust their ability and mind set. they know what they are doing. Our responsibility is to give the mcourage and motivte them to ask, contribute efficiently not only for the youth in Thailand but the World. corruption is generic as Narayan put it, off course it can be solve my brother... with what you suggest geting the primary and secondary school pupils on board before they get mature, expand the notion of ICT, in Africa ICT is a problem majority of young people even collegian do not know how to use computer not to talk about internet so this is a challege for us. At the second phase of GYAC the issue of ICT for Africa needs to be pay great attention. I am impress with the Social Accountability, anticorruption and the youth site thanks marion. if you and Narayan and the ICT group and others can put heads together we will be able to make ICT work for Africa and places were it a challenge.

Ethic and moral and character are primary factors to be a decent and respactable person. i agree with you my brother... Let reform ourselves by having good ethic, moral and character oher will follow with saying a weord to them. trust me .
