In order to mobilize young people in the fight against corruption and in improving governance, various initiatives are now focused on integrating governance issues in ICT, music, etc where most young people are interested in. Youth socialization platforms (for example facebook or ning) are also being utilize to mainstream the connection between governance and the youth.

for more, see our INFOSHEET on youth, social accountability and anti-corruption. Also featured in the infosheet is Mr. Teten Masduki (Indonesia) who grew into his role and mission as an anti-corruption and a champion of social accountability from his beginnings as a student activist, a teacher, and a union leader.

How is it going there - we are with you in our minds, keeping thumbs up for our GYAC-N representatives at the IACC.
Wow great
I made a first blog Journey Talk
Woh, Great to here that some of our colleagues are in this great conference of the world regarding the efforts of fighting the barbaric social pest in the wolrd, " Corruption".
My views stand on Building ethics and moral principals to the next generation. That, the current high degree of corruption in the world is largely by lack of moral and ethical principals in our societies that a person grows with. I argue those in Thailand to put more pressure on this if real we want to eliminate the problem. This should be built in lower levels of learning in our societies such as in primary education and secondary education.

But we can’t wait the next generation to mature that we can have corruption. We have also to deal with the current generation and to my opinion, the heads of states present in Bangkok should agree to tighten the laws governing ant corruption movements in their countries. Consistency in these laws should be checked to ensure that Transparency and Accountability are addressed.
Does It mean it cant be stopped?

I agree, Deo. It is one of our main goals to raise Attention on the involvement of young people in the fight against corruption and promotion of good governance. It is noteworthy to say that representatives from GYAC are actively participation in plenaries and workshops towards this goal. Though small, 10 of 1500 participants, GYAC sending a youth delegation to the IACC is a very good start.

I do honsetly think in my opinion that corruption can be stopped if young people take the necessary steps to combat it. The solutions suggested should be simple, practical and pragmatic.
