Having worked in IT Marketing in a distributor for Microsoft in Namibia and having Lived in Sweden I began to compare what simple ICT solutions were in place in Sweden that would have facilitated the country to reduce corruption on a number of platforms that affect the youth.
1. To reduce police brutality and bribery : introduce the recording camera on police vehicles and make it mandatory for all officers to interact with all victims and suspects in front of the vehicles.
2. To reduce Nepotism and favoritism and promote equal opportunity: employment offices should be created that have computers linked to a central national (and International) job database that is accessible to all citizens and businesses.
3. To encourage efficiency and reduce bribery for services such as passport provision, drivers licences etc. Introduce and maintain strict processing times and remove cash payment points in the service buildings, introduce POS systems or Invoice systems that are paid directly to the Central Revenue Collection facility.
4. The Swedish Social Security number system, is excellent! Look it up, I wish there we the resources to implement it across the board..
Lets build more on these ideas, and what do you guys think
