To my honest opinion, there is no cordial or no relation between Human Rights & Corruption... the reason been each stands for something not in common and they are against eacg other... So simply, human stands for equity, dignity, fairness, respect and openess among others. while corruption stands for surpression, oppression, fruad, lies(419) and counterfeit among others.

In actual fact, where corruption stays human rights is not respect and where human rights is not respected... such a place, country really needs reform and prone for violence and war...

Thanks

Hi Kungaba,

With your question asked as it is, I agree with Wurie on the point that corruption and Human Rights are two different concepts.Generally, Human Rights are the ethical principles of a person by way of virtue that he is a human being and Corruption is operationally the abuse of position of trust for personal gain/advantage.

The relationship however, is that corruption suppresses all forms of human rights - may it be social (right to standard of living adequate for health and hsi family's wellbeing), legal (right to be protected by the laws of your country) moral (right to freedom of speech) freedoms of a human being to act upon.

Hope this helps!!

Cheers,
