Dear Colleagues,
My name is Wurie MT Barrie working for Restless Development. I wish to sell an ideas for common action for Africa as the trend of Governmance and electionairing process is taking different dimension.
I want to suggest that all GYAC Africa Network member collectively drop up a common action project taking into account the recent happenings in our continent regarding Governance and elections and write up a pleade that will be sent to all Heads of States or President or Foreign Affairs Ministers and other multistakeholders expressing our thought for free and fair elections.
You may agree with me that,Most African Countries are in the verge on conduction elections within a year or two. This common action can send a significant message that we need no violence during post election period, We the youth are no longer there to raise hands against our fellow youth all in the name of Power.
This common Action Project is cost effective and it will be a start of our work together as a continent.
If it is successful, it can be replicates to the other continent that are part of GYAC
Please feel free to contact me
Thanks

I do agree with you Barrie, The situations in Africa regarding governance needs more attention than it deserve and we the youth has vey important role to play for a peaceful election free and fair. We in GYAC especially the Africa Network should take the lead in this project and start to register our foot print on the mind of our politician that we are concern.
My problem is who need to write the pleade onbehave of the Network?
Thanks

Dear Colleague,
I suggested three (3) members of the Africa Network volunteer to develop the pledge and at the end of the day submit it for others inputs. After the general inputs, a country will be in charge to collate and edit it and present the final copy of the pledge on behalf of the Africa network to member.
Hope to hear from people who intended volunteer. Thanks in advance.
Yours in development,

Permalink Reply by Wurie Mamadu Tamba Barrie on March 22, 2011 at 5:04pm Thanks to all of us ready to do it. Yes, we are waiting for one more person or Pauline.i suggest If we got one more or not let start on Thursday and a draft on Tuesday and on Thursday we publish the draft for others inputs.
A'solo, this is my email wurie@restlessdevelopment.org so that we can share the rough draft before publishing. Thanks
wow, this is a wonderful piece of idea. I strongly share in the view of making our African Leaders aware that we shall not and will no more avail ourselves to be used for their parochial political interests. Indeed, back in Ghana, i have led my organisation to partner with the National Youth Authority to help inn the education of the youth nation-wide on the need to abstain from any potential electoral and political conflict.
I will be grateful to participate in the drafting of the plead since i may have the opportunity to bring on board my young and humble experience in youth affairs and my writing skills. I believe, that together, we can make Africa the continent we desire to make.
Best Regards

Permalink Reply by Wurie Mamadu Tamba Barrie on June 4, 2012 at 1:55pm Thanks Oueslati, for your interest on this project. I will be sending message to A'solo who supposed to do a draft of the plead for others input. I do believe our input to this project will form a strong basis for advocacy for proper democracy and respect for human rights in Africa by our African Leaders.
In the main time, I wish to request you that you conduct a research on all pending countries especially Africa that suppose to hole election this 2012 and mid 20113.
This can bee added on A'solo chart. Please let stay in touch.
