As a way forward the this Group will capitalize on the fact that all its members are from the African Region. So we should capitalize on that and start utilizing the the Afro-Region platform to start action.

Seems like if we have leaders who are formed with strong ethical and integrity values, we would solve problems of corruption, bad governance and conflicts...

Dear friends,
May I know what has been the action plan of this group? Sorry I was away on the last two days, since I couldn't escape the journalists' session.

Cheers and thanks :)

Dear GYACer,

Throughout history, young people have played an active role in shaping major social and political advancements. Today’s growing globalization and cross-border movements create an environment which is increasingly diverse in terms of culture and religion. Young people’s contribution to understanding the impact of this diversity on everyday life as well as politics is now more crucial than ever. Moreover, as they constitute the largest segment of population in many regions, the role of youth in shaping their country’s response to cultural and religious diversity is vital.

Young people contribution in fighting corruption will create a better future for all.

Ethics is something that need not to be imported but homegrown thing thing and it is why we see it high time for youth to take control of the issue forward. As integral part of our wellbeing and existence. Integrity comes with observance of ethical behaviors and decisions always.

Ethics and integrity are becoming an increasingly important topic in the World. Human beings that has moral and ethical values. A human being that does not have good  ethic can be damaging to the world and hurt their public and his professional image. For someone to have strong ethics, they must be able to overcome human rationalization, ego, and any weaknesses they have. These factors can cause someone to falter and abandon their values. In our personal lives there is no one to guide us in the decisions we make; however, as a human being you have the ability to provide tools and guidance to your evironment to enable the young ones grow on what proper behavior is and what ethic and integrity qualities their generation values. An expert on this issue can be helpful in getting your message across and provide examples of why being ethical is so very important for your generation.

It is time we start teaching the little ones how to be petriotic and loyal to their nations. I look at the fight against corruption as something that should be handled from the roots. start with the kids and then as the wave of time passes the old ones will go with the bad behaviour. Children too can greatly contribute in the fight against curruption if we give them the chance. I am looking here of art down in schools to express what they feel is corruption. lets use the visual language because the may be shy but will be bold enough with paint on paper.

Those lessions which we used to have in the primary where we were thought not to cheat or steal need to be really implimented. The fear of God made us to respect what belonged to others or to the state. What i sometimes ask myself is, have this corrupt guy forgotten this fast or is it that they have sold the consciences to the devil?

I am very proud to follow the trends of contributions on Ethics and Integrity from especially new Colleagues to GYAC. Ethics and Integrity happens to be all en-globing because if our politicians, business leaders, development partners and all other friends of our communities and nations could just be a little ethical and truthful to themselves, CORRUPTION, BAD Governance, Embezzlement of development funds, among others would disappear.

Such a great idea to be talked about but somehow it's a pity that some of us preach what we don't practice. It's a shame people to work with youths on this network who are more than corrupt. Especially those of us in Cameroon.... Let's do what we preach!
