Year 2012 has more than 20 countries conducting elections. That stated the youth in all of these countries should step up and stand for change plus involvement in governance.

Here in Kenya with the way things are going; ICC ruling that rendered 4 of our own leaders to stand trial and with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission have new boundary demarcations in the run up to the election date (which is yet to determined).... things are changing.

BREAKING NEWS: UHURU (Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister) and MUTHAURA (Head of civil service) have stepped aside after bowing to public pressure after the ICC ruling.

In a few sentences the Kenyan youth have big shoes to fill and after engaging a few youth leaders vying for seats in their various constituencies. Currently the 'Kenyan Youth' is the song of the day from leaders who have been in government since my parents were born! (ironic)

Asking the youth to style up, stand up and be counted. We are the leaders we've been waiting for so lets take up the task.

Video coming up soon....

These are the dynamics in African politics. We also have a challenging situation in Zimbabwe where it is not clear whether we are going to have elections or not because the inclusive government is divided on the road map. Others want elections without electoral reforms whilst others are demanding for the implementation of a clear road map. Its high time the youth should demand for credible democratic processes because the current situation fuels corruption and abuse of power since many people are in a state of confusion while others are busy looting meaning the confusion is deliberate and a clear strategy of diverting people from mainstream socio-political arena. l hope our GYAN is going to assist us as we sail through these turbulent moments.
