I am a kenyan muslim lady aged 28 and a journalist proffessionally. I have also worked with Kcoda in Kibera since 2003 and it has been a joyous journey.
Worked also as a presenter and News anchor for a local radio station in the heart of Kibera known as Pamoja Fm.
In 2006-2007 helped AMWIK-Association of Media Women In Kenya to develop and later implement Radio listening programs on BLD-Building Local Democracy and MLGA-Making Local Governments Accountable.
Holder of an advanced certificate in Justice and Peace from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and Communications from the EASMS- East Africa School of Media Studies and EAMI- East Africa Media Institute.

During the Post Election Violence in Kenya,2007-2008,i witnessed one thing that has proved quite difficult for me to ever forget. As an independent journalist,i always had my camera with me everywhere i went and one morning after a night of terrifing violence,i went out early the next morning to see for myself the extent of damage presumably committed the previous night.
