He is now completing his Master's studies in Political Science as well as Bachelor's studies in Sociology, both at the University of Ljubljana. Urban was a vice-chairperson in charge of academic affairs at the International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS). He has been involved in civil society and non-governmental organisations since 2006, focusing primarily on anty-corruption and transparency. In 2011 Urban was an international fellow at the Caucasus Research Resource Center in Yerevan, and has participated at more then twenty NGO-related international events up to date.

POLITUSS was founded in 2001 by group of students in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. It started as a student association, but slowly changed its character and membership to allow everyone interested in social and political issues to join, while keeping its focus on youth. It boasts more than 500 registered members, with around 20 of them actively participating in the organization and execution of projects. Its vision is to foster a creative, reflective and critical environment, which will enable everyone to have an active role in society. It encourages students to shape critical opinions on different issues at both the national and international levels. One of its missions is to engage in anti-corruption and legality promotion campaigns at the local level. Corruption is a big problem in the academic sphere in Slovenia as well as in the job market and we try to raise awareness about this problem through our activities, such as lectures, seminars and workshops.
