Biography
I want to thank you for spending your precious time to read about me. My name is Wurie Mamadu Tamba Barrie, the seventh child of my parent and the only son to my mother and the eldest to my (late) father who passed away 17th March 2007. I attended the Government Model Junior and Government Rokel Senior Secondary School were i attained my high school certificates and Washington Computer Academy were a got my computer knowledge and Diploma in Computer Software packages, and the Career Advice & Placement Service Fourah Bay College University of Sierra Leone were i attained certificate in website Design. RESPECT University and United Nations Institute for Training and Research respectively . I hold hold Diploma in Project Writing and Implementation and Diploma in Entrepreneurship at the Institute of Business Studies and Administration.

I am a human rights activist, and founder of Action For Social Rights-a youth led organization that advocates for the protection and promotion of social rights. I am an executive members at the United Nations Development Program Civil Society Consultative Forum and Western Area Human Rights Committee. Member at the UNICEF SSHE task force.I have worked with Restless Development, the leading youth development agency that place young people in the forefront of development and change, for two years serving as the fundraising, Partnership and Communication Officer. It places young people in remote village for 8 month with 1 months intensive training to develop their capacity to facilitate,coordinate, organise and serve as Role Model for young people and community stakeholders. Restless Development believe in a corrupt free society and believe in the ability of young people to be the solution and not the problem.

for 6th Month i worked as Programme & Communication Intern from January to June 2012 with Sierra Leone National Youth Commission, providing expert support on programme and communication. A Commission that came to being through an act parliament # 11 of 2009 to coordinate, implement, monitor, youth programme with the strip line of "promoting youth potential, creativity and skills for national development". The Commission in itself, is a sign of young people voice.

Currently, am the Public Relation; Programme & Communications Volunteer for Movement for Youth Empowerment a youth led organization that had 50 youth organizations and am serving as the Lead Coordinator for Global Youth Anti Corruption Network Sierra Leone until election is conducted by the GCB.

My experience; activeness and belief in youth potential- is a reality that exist. i always say this"Ignoring youth is like Ignoring yourself".

DTM stands for Data Tracking Mechanism.We use both international and national sources to track the corruption trend in Uganda.Its an interesting project. You should check out the link i posted in my blog.
