Corruption affecting human rights in Cameroon: the annual report on the State of Human Rights is launched with the support of GYAC Cameroon.

How critical it can be in a country where human rights threats and corruption coexist. No doubt that Human Rights violations will be caused or/and amplified by Corruption and worst again, Corruption won’t allow that Violator should be punished adequately. What we conclude is that “Corruption is at the beginning and the end of most of the situations that constitute threats to Human Rights”.

This is the summary of the lesson that we can take out a document titled “Annual Report on the…

Campaigning and advocating for an Anti-Corruption law in Cameroon: The Civil Society and the youth are engaged for it as from now.

“Corruption is a social scourge” it is always said, and you can’t fight against this scourge effi-ciently in a social context where there is no legal framework to guide and sustain your efforts. This is the reason why the UN came to put in place the UNCAC which provisions have to be im-plemented by all the State Parties, and each State party is called by virtue of provisions contained in the Chapter III of the convention titled “Criminalization and law enforcement” requesting to “… adopt such… Continue

CAMEROON calls to GYAC-N to Capitalize Bangkok 14th IACC recommendations at the National Level.

If youths work hard and make proof of their competences, they will soon be real actors of the fight against corruption in their countries.

This statement can be justify by the case of Cameroon where a GYAC-N member has been called to show new orientation of civil society engagement in the fight against corruption as debated during the 14th IACC held in Bangkok spring November 2010.

Last January 06th, 2011, the Cameroon National Anti-Corruption Commission in partnership with the… Continue
