How critical it can be in a country where human rights threats and corruption coexist. No doubt that Human Rights violations will be caused or/and amplified by Corruption and worst again, Corruption won’t allow that Violator should be punished adequately. What we conclude is that “Corruption is at the beginning and the end of most of the situations that constitute threats to Human Rights”.
This is the summary of the lesson that we can take out a document titled “Annual Report on the state of Human Rights in Cameroon in 2011” that was published last Wednesday, August 08, 2012 by the Cameroon Network of Human Rights Organizations (CNHRO) and which exposes different case of human rights violations in the country during the annual period.
Apart from Civil and Political rights, Economic, social and cultural rights, and specific social categories that were exposed in the document, Human Rights specific matters were tackled and corruption was one of the focuses in this document and GYAC Cameroon under the coordination of GABI WAMBO seized the opportunity to expose the effects of corruption in different categories of rights violation as it happened in country during 2011 year.
Follow up this report on corruption and human rights by reading this document that you can download the French version on www.recodh.org . Also, you can find attached pictures of the launching ceremony and some interviews that I granted to journalists at the end of the ceremony.
