A Journey Talk (from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Silom)

Corruption in Nepal is even going worse than last year according to the TI Corruption Index. Mr. Kedar Sharma, one of the prominent journalist working in Pro Public in Nepal and also a delegate for 14th International Anti-Corruption Conference, has said that corruption in Nepal is fueled due to political instability and lack of Rule of Law. The youth of Nepal should actively involve in the fight against corruption where Youth and Student wings of political parties have big role to play to fight against the corruption in their political parties. He hope that the 14th IACC would help to get deeper understanding on good governance. He also mentioned that the conference is more focused on environmental governance. ........

Narayan, It is a good proposal made in here that youth from political paricies and students organization shiould take active part in the war. These are short term measures to the problem. Emphasisy should be in long term measures and this is to prepare our young ones to hate corruption just as any other social problem. This should be by indoctrinating them with good moral and ethical principals in their dail life and by this we will be asured to have leaders who respect rule of law, ensure transparency and accountability in their dail conduct not only from the goverment level, but also from the family level.
