Today i took to the street. Yep! i took a placard and a political vuvuzela (whistle) and joined the other tax payers and marched to the parliament building.
Members of our 10th parliament are passing a law that will enable them to increase their salaries from $10,000 to $15,000 per month and daily sitting allowance from $62.5 to $125. And worse when the minister of finance said there was no money they threatened to shoot down any motion he tabled on parliament. Attempt by the same minister to tax the MPs last year failed.
How can they do that when more than half of Kenyans live on less than a dollar a day? How can a nation be living this.
