GYAC!
Are you young? Are you bright? Are you inspired to change the world for the better? Do you believe that your role in doing so is equally as important as anyone else’s? Have you shown leadership and had impact in your country? Of course you are, of course you do, of course you have, and we know that!
That’s why we bring you this opportunity to take part in the upcoming One Young World (OYW) Summit in Pittsburg, USA, between October 18-23rd, 2012. For that to happen you’ll need to start working on your application immediately and you’ll have to deserve it. Indeed, you won’t just be submitting an application to take part in the Summit; you’ll be doing your own fundraising to attend! As a nonprofit, OYW will help you with the process, but you’ll be doing the legwork. Go here for all the information you’ll need on the application process.
One Young World Summits bring together young leaders from around the world, with leading artists, businessmen, politicians and humanitarians, to address the most challenging global issues. OYW was inaugurated in London, UK, at an initial Summit in February 2010 that brought together 823 young leaders from 112 countries to develop six resolutions on the world’s most pressing issues, as identified in the OYW Global Consultation Process (find out more here).
Following One Young World’s 2011 Summit, you might have heard the OYW wake up calls on February 21st, 2012. If, like those who have called for change with OYW, you have your opinion to share on global health, environmental, global business, interfaith dialogue, media, and/ or leadership issues, apply and be heard. Imagine the possibility of sending your own wake up call against corruption in those areas!
Visit the One Young World website for more information, and the projects page specifically to see what OYW delegates and ambassadors are doing around the world.
Best,
GYAC CU
